Annaliese took the day off from work to relax on her 28th birthday to relax and buy herself an iPad. Kinnon ferried her around town, bought her pretty opal jewelry, took her to see a movie at Gold Class Cinema, and ended the afternoon with a stroll through beautiful Zilker park. As they were crossing the arched wooden bridge over a pond in the Oriental Garden, Kinnon stopped. He started talking, Annaliese listened, somehow not catching on (probably because she had firmly convinced herself he'd pop the question at his graduation party). The park was silent, there was nobody in sight... Kinnon asked the question. Annaliese probably tried to say "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!" but what came out was "Yes! ..... YES! Yes yes yes yes!!!!" And after much giggling they retired to a bench to call parents and then let the world know. After they could walk again they attempted to find a nice place at Zilker to consume champagne and strawberries, but when they discovered Zilker allows neither glass nor alcohol they retreated home and picnicked on the living room floor. And set up the iPad. They closed out the night at The Melting pot where, "Surprise!" people were waiting to help celebrate.
